The first time I met Charlie, she was a tiny, tiny little bundle, just a few weeks old. I still remember being struck by Kate's way with her. She was so, so loved and cherished. It was so obvious she was such a long awaited dream for her parents. She had the biggest blue eyes and creamy skin back then, and not much has changed there - just the addition of delicious golden curls. Each year Kate and Shane have bought Charlie back to me for her photos, and I always remember because it's always the same weekend as Liam's birthday. I just love watching these babies grow up, and capturing their growing personalities each year. This year (well last year now - I'm still catching up!) that weekend came and went, and I actually did think, perhaps they're not coming this year LOL But alas, amongst the pre Christmas chaos that swamps everyone I got an email from Kate, for Charlie's photos. And I'm ever so glad.

Kate and Shane, you have the most beautiful little girl. Thank you for choosing me to capture her gorgeousness year after year, it really is a privilege and a joy xx

Chris & Christie [Mornington Peninsula wedding photographer]

I first met Christie a few years ago through scrapbooking (back when I had time to scrapbook!), but I hadn't met Chris until just before their wedding day. Together they are such a beautiful couple. Fun, down to earth, in love and so warm and friendly. And did I say fun? Their wedding day was so perfectly them and I had so much fun capturing all of the special moments and details. The weather was perfect (although maybe a touch too sunny at times) and Christie just radiated with joy all day.

To save time between the ceremony and reception, Chris and Christie decided to have some formal portraits done before the ceremony. After spending some time with the girls getting ready, I headed off to the Briars to photograph the boys. Once the boys were back on the road, the girls had the all clear to come in, and we had a ball capturing some stunning photos of Christie - and her beautiful bridesmaids of course. We then headed off to Manyung Gallery at Mt Eliza for their ceremony and reception. It's such an honour to be invited along to capture the love and commitment between such a gorgeous couple ~ thank you both xx.

After being rained out on our first attempt, I finally managed to meet up with this gorgeous family to capture some updated family photos for them. Connor and Laura are both the sweetest children. Because she was born before her sucking reflex had developed, she was given a dummy in hospital to encourage sucking. About a week after we got her home she decided she didn't like the dummy after all and has never taken once since, preferring to suck her fingers. The last few weeks her teeth have been giving her terrible grief though, and in desperation I raided the dummy box I still had in the pantry. I gave it to her and she actually sucked it one night until she fell asleep. Since then she's just loved to chomp on it. It's quite funny to look at her a year on chomping on that dummy, which once covered a good portion of her little face.

Amelia is crazy easy. Seriously easy. Just like her brothers. She is ALWAYS happy, ALWAYS smiley. Anyone walks in the room and she smiles. She'll happily be handed around to anyone. She'll sleep where ever we happen to be when she needs to sleep, and she'll eat what ever is going. She has 8 teeth already, and we would hardly notice that she had been teething. She went to bed one night, and woke up the next day with a tooth. BUT... she's cutting her molars and eye teeth all together and just like her brothers did, she's struggling with it. The past few nights she's gone down to bed at 7.30pm, but by 10.30 she's back up again, inconsolable. No amount of patting, rocking, feeding or anything else I could think of tonight was going to help. So, exhausted myself I handed her over to Daddy. And at least for tonight, it seems he had the magic touch. About 5mins after him taking over he called me out to the lounge, where I was greeted with this site. Exhausted, out cold, curled up half on the floor and half on a couch cushion the boys had thrown off the couch. Surrounded by the mayhem that is my loungeroom floor of an evening, there she lay. Utterly relaxed and so peaceful. And once again, my heart melted.

Australia Day. We had a quiet day at home, which felt really odd to us, as we always have things on, but we were still in recovery mode from Amelia's birthday. At night we headed down to the beach to watch the fireworks, but I didn't take the camera as I just wanted to enjoy the time with the family. So here's a pic of little miss, camped out in the shade watching us work in the garden.

Playing in her bedroom with birthday toys. Her room is Ethan's old room and there is just something about it that I just love. It's such a peaceful room to sit in (and it has the best rocking chair for inducing sleep - for both of us).

Millie just loves the shower. I think she's actually had more showers than baths in her short little life. She's happy whether she's in there on her own, or with her brothers. She loves to pat the wet floor isn't at all bothered by the water dripping all over her face. I'm quite glad she's such a water baby seeing as she's still commando crawling, she ends up FILTHY by the end of the night.

Amelia loves her little pram/walker that Santa left for her. She's suddenly found a little independence and has just taken off. A month or so ago she was only just rolling and all of a sudden she's crawling at lightning speed, climbing everything in sight and cruising around the furniture. She's not quite walking with this walker, but I dare say she's not far off it.

Amelia was 8 days old when she was diagnosed with Neonatal Supraventricular Tachycardia. Every day at 8am and 8pm she has heart medication, and every time we change her nappy we check her heart rate. We continue to hope and pray that she will grow out of it, but in the mean time, we manage it, and will continue to do so, with the wonderful care of her cardiologist at Royal Childrens.

New shoes!! I've always had a bit of a thing for shoes. Once I had the boys I developed a love for little shoes. Cute little boots, spunky converse oh and could go on and on. But after having Amelia, that 'thing' for shoes has turned into more of an obsession. I'd hate to think how many pairs of shoes that girls has!! So I was in my element when I found out Czarque was running a competition to be a reviewer of their baby shoes. And I WON!! Gosh it was hard to choose a colour, but after going around and around in circles over red, black, ballet pink, pink suede or white, I finally settled on the white... but I'll be going back for more. They arrived today and I'm so impressed with them. They are so, so beautiful. So well made, really comfy and good for her cute little footsies, and Aussie made. The suede is lovely and grippy which is fantastic now that she's on the move. They're just perfect. Thanks so much Anne :)

They're baaaaack!! Brett, Liam, Ethan and Poppy went for a little holiday to Omeo for a few days to see Poppy's brother. They stayed on the farm, rode motor bikes, went for a plane ride, explored a lot and bought home a million treasures - everthing from rocks to bullet casings and a heap of bones, the most exciting of all goat skulls. Boys huh. At least they had a wonderful time. Very glad to have my chickens back under my wings. As much as the peace and quiet was nice for a few days, Millie and I did miss them so very much.

When she's not climbing, she's crawling. Still commando style, but she's picking up speed, and I can often be heard asking the boys "where'd she go?". Funny how babies will climb over a dozen toys to get to the bit of fluff in the corner (notice the bit of paper on her finger).

Trying not to count my chickens before they hatch, but I think we may be back up and running again!! The switch from PC to Mac has been, well, different and I admit I've wanted to tear my hair out a few times. The most frustrating thing so far is that I feel like I'm working at snails pace as everything is in different places, but I'm getting there. Feel free to cross your fingers for me that I'm over most of the bumps.

I just want to thank all of my beautiful clients once again for being so patient. I am working like a busy little bee to get through all sessions and will have your galleries up as soon as I can.

And, stand by for January's Photo A Day. A personal project I undertake each January :)

Gosh what an end to 2009. Right in the middle of the chaos of getting christmas orders out my poor beloved although fairly old computer caught a virus and although it was removed unfortunatly all was not good and it has pretty much died. I did manage to get all pre Christmas orders out thankfully, and I have all photos backed up and safe but unfortunatly I am unable to get any work done until my new computer arrives and according to Apple there are none in Australia at the moment and it may be up to a three week wait. Obviously I'm hoping it will be sooner but it's really out of my hands at the moment. Perhaps it's a sign that I'm supposed to switch off and have a little break with the family?

I can still receive emails (and blog text only now that I've downloaded an app) via my iPhone. I am also ok to still take sessions I have booked, there will just be a delay in getting your galleries ready.

I wanted to do my annual photo-a-day for January but not sure if I'll be able to. May have to make it for feb instead and feb isn't as much fun as Jan with so much going on.

Anyway after this little hicup I'm hoping 2010 is a fabulous year for everyone and wish you all the very best for a healthy and prosperous new year. xxKT

Just look at how much Mia's big brothers just adore her. Their love for her just shines through. Their mum just wanted them captured just as they are, the way they interact, the connections between them, just them, as they are right now. I can hardly believe Amelia is 10 months old now! Where oh where has the time gone. She's doing really well, her heart medication is working beautifully (we have another checkup at Royal Childrens next week). She's a cruisy happy little thing. Not much bothers her. She's just started to 'growl' if someone takes something off her and it's the funniest thing to hear this placid little baby explode with this primal growl LOL. It stops us all in our tracks. She's rolling everywhere, comando crawling and almost sitting up without toppling over unexpectidly. After taking a loooooong time to warm to solids she's finally loving them, but she has decided to give up on a bottle, which is a bit of a pain. She just wants to breastfeed, so being a working mum takes a little juggling, but I'm lucking I have a fabulous hubby who takes everything in his stride :) She has 5 teeth (3 top, 2 bottom) and she's weighing in at 7.5kg. She's just a little dot, but that's to be expected after her early start to life. To sum it up, she's doing wonderfully.

So some pics to celebrate Miss Millie's 10mths - chasing banana around her highchair tray until she finally managed to grab those slippery little suckers and chomp them up. Yum yum.

Leoni and Grant married on 31st of October at Dromana Foreshore. Because of the date, they decided to go with a 'touch of halloween' theme for their special day. Although the weather predicted rain and thunderstorms, in true Melbourne style, we got the total opposite. The bright glary sunlight was a bit of a challenge, but we got through it and captured some beautiful shots of their ceremony.

Liam's 8th birthday

Melbourne Cup day was more than just a horse race in our house. It was also Liam's 8th birthday. EIGHT! Wow, I so clearly remember my own 8th birthday and here I am now celebrating my sons.

Each year the preparation starts early. The boys choose the theme of their party themselves, and this year Liam chose Monsters Vs Aliens. We finally found an oline party supply store that had Monsters Vs Aliens goodies in stock and sat together selecting what we needed and placing the order, followed by both Liam and Ethan stalking the letterbox for the next two days until that magic package arrived. We send out the invitations, made up party bags, baked a 'Bob' cake (thankyou soooo much Liam for choosing the easiest character!), made Bob jelly's and cut out a huge Bob figure to play 'pin the eye on Bob', and we decorated the house in blue, orange and green. Oh and there was also a little birthday pressie organising going on too.

And finally the big day arrived.

Poor Ethy didn't stand a chance, he couldn't even reach his donut - hahahaaaaa.but a helping hand from Daddy made all the difference :)

I didn't get a whole lot of photos as I was busy being a mum and didn't want to miss the day because I was behind the camera all the time. Happy 8th my gorgeous boy. You are the best and we all love you dearly. xx

A few weeks ago I teamed up with fellow photographer and great friend of mine Connie Hatch to shoot our first wedding as 'Sweet Love Wedding Photography'. Our gorgeous couple of the day, Andrew and Mel, gathered all of their loved ones together at Hickenbotham of Dromana winery for their special day, and it was just perfect. Even the weather played along nicely. These two are so madly in love, and it was such a pleasure to capture that love and their special memories in a way that can be treasured forever. I've had lots of trouble trying to narrow down their sneak peek (to a peek LOL), and in the end just decided I had to share a mammoth post - I'm sure that won't bother anyone though :)

Meet miss Ella and her beautiful mum and dad. Ella and my Amelia were both born the same day in the same hospital! Hows that for coincidence! We started Ella's shoot in the studio and her (four legged) 'big brother' Boris came along. Well he is part of the family :) I have to say he was THE most well behaved dog I have EVER met! After a few shots we headed down to the beach to finish off the session. Ella just loved being in the water. I thought she might have found it a bit cold, but she's a true little water baby. What a gorgeous little girl she is.

I'm so overdue for an update. So where have I been and what's been keeping me busy? Well I've photographed two weddings in the past two weeks with my beautiful friend and fellow photogie Connie and I've been a busy little bee editing lots of pics for those, some of which I will share soon. Then Liam had his 8th birthday (more pics I will share soon). Ethan's started orientation days for school (he's also doing pre-prep next year, like Liam did). And to add to it all that gorgoeus girl of mine is not sleeping a whole lot during the day anymore :( Life is busy, but busy is good.

Now it takes me a while to get personal photos edited and up here. They always get put to the back of the line (I don't get paid for doing my own kids LOL). But back in August I took the kids up to my favourite park for a quick little session. Unfortunatly afternoon sessions do not work well for Miss Amelia, so I mainly just got the boys, but that's what I needed anyway. Amelia gets lots of photos taken of her while the boys are at school and kinder, but I don't often get the chance to do them. So... long story short - here are some (kind of) recent pics of the boys. (They've both since had haircuts too).

Meet Archer and Hugo, and their gorgeous mum and dad. Archer was one of the first newborns I photographed and I've had the pleasure of photographing him quite a bit since then, including when his gorgeous baby brother was just a bump in mums tummy, and then when he was newborn. We met up for an outdoors session and had a lot of fun. Not sure who had more fun, me or the boys :)

Ahhh little baby boys. I was so happy to see this beautiful family again. I first photographed Toby when he was newborn, and now he's back with his new baby brother Jay. And what an adorable little baby he is. Those beautiful big blue eyes and that soft, fluffy, fluffy hair was just devine, and so soft it tickled my nose when I cuddled him.

So where have I been? Just here, balancing the mummy and photographer thing as best as I can :)

August is a crazy month around here. We've had so many birthday parties (seriously FIVE the past weekend), plus Amelia's dedication. There's been school things on, everyone's been sick so I had to be a mum first again, and updates here got put to the back of the to-do list. :) Anyway, we still have a few more birthday parties to get to over the next two weeks, but it's all fun, fun, fun.

I also have had lots of deliveries of yummy, yummy things including albums. I've never shared photos of the gorgeous albums I use. They're all custom made for my gorgeous clients and they are just delish. Seriously (insert another word besides gorgous here LOL), and amazing quality. Swoon, swoon, I just love them. I'll take some photos tomorrow and share before they go out to their excited owners. But organising all of that has taken up a fair bit of time too.

I've also been organising photos to update around our house... seeing as there's a new little person in the family, what better reason for new photos hey. I love decorating with photos and creating galleries of gorgous shots that visitors as well as ourselves love to look at.

Miss Millie's own little gallery in her bedroom. I love this one, and just ordered the frames today so can't wait for them to arrive.

And this last one is still waiting of photos to put in it. I have ideas, I just need Melbourne's weather to co-operate with me now.

And then I still need to do the family room, boys room, enterence hall, studio, office and viewing room. Hmm I felt like I was making a dint in the list until I just typed that out LOL.

About a month ago I visited Angus at his home to photograph him as an almost-one-year-old. This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing his first birthday party. Way back in January, and I think on the other (family) blog I did a photo a day challenge, adding a photo every day for the whole month. Well that was the aim, but a certain little miss and her very early arrival caused a bit of a hickup half way through the month and that was that. I loved that way of documenting our lives though, so thought I'd share a little of our family life over at this blog... a little peep inside our home. Here are a few little moments that made up our rainy, wet Friday. (This one's a bit Amelia heavy, but I'll do some more with the boys soon).

She does this adorable little thing... sucking her two fingers, and then holding that hand in her mouth with the other hand. It makes me giggle.

She's teething and a bit unwell, so she was just not a happy girl today. She just would not crack a smile for me...
... but then Ethan walked in and she just lit up for him.
I enjoyed doing this, so I hope you enjoy seeing them too as there will be more.

Just sneaking a personal pic in before sharing the next lot of sneak peeks. My little princess is 6mths old now. She's such a little blessing in our lives. Her brothers just adore her to pieces. Ethan wakes up each morning, walks into the familyroom and says "oh hello daaaaaaarling!", and Liam says "Hello Missy-Moo! Hello, hello, I love you!" constantly to her. One things for sure. She's loved!

Gosh, I'm sorry... I got a little sidetracked (busy I guess) and fell a bit behind with the updates here. Amelia's checkup went well, so we are just keeping with the same action plan at the moment. So back to sweet little Oscar... Oscar's Nanna is a bit of a very special person to our family. She's Ethan's childcarer and we all just love her to bits. Oscar has her same smile :) I loved having him in the studio last week with his mum and dad. He kept me laughing so much I was sure we'd have camera shake. Such a beautiful little character. Ahhh I love my job.

Just a quick little update to let you know I'll be out of the office tomorrow as Amelia has her montly checkup with her cardiologist. It's a long way into the city to Royal Childrens, so it ends up being pretty much a full day adventure. I'll return all calls and emails on Thursday :)

Sweet baby Gus. Very alert, very awake and very strong. He would hold his head up for such a long time, and was only 10 days old. Such a sweet little man.

And remember this one - here he was all snuggled up onthe inside still. Hard to believe there was a 7lb+ baby in there!
